Etna or Sicilian dialect “Mungibeddu”, is one of the highest active volcanoes in Europe, located on the eastern coast of Sicily, in the province of Catania.
UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mount Etna has a height that varies over time due to its eruptions, about 3300m above sea level.

Alcantara gorges located in the Alcantara Fluvial Park, on the slopes of the Peloritani Mountains, bordering the ancient village of Castiglione di Sicilia, Francavilla di Sicilia (home of the Alcantara River Park) and Motta Camastra were born about 300,000 years ago, from a lava flow from the northern slopes of Mount Etna.

PROGRAM

• 09.00 am – Departure from your Hotel, destination Zafferana Etnea, short visit of the Panoramic Square, short stop Casa del Miele, for tastings of typical products, and continuation to the Rifugio Sapienza. On request during the climb it is possible to stop to admire the 1991 lava flow.
  Arrived at 1800m (Rifugio Sapienza), your driver will wait for you during the visit of the craters (2 hours)
• 12.30 pm – Continuation to Le Gole Alcantara, visit the Canyon (1h 30m), return to the hotel.
